calm day
Went to work, went downtown to eat a Christmas lunch with the team, met up with Kris, her aunt, sister, cousin and cousin's little baby boy. After that I had to clear up a sizable cell phone bill at work which was about 4.5 times the amount of my usual $35 bill. It was all the midnight phone calls and people trying to track me down when I wasn't sitting at a desk.
Finished up some Christmas shopping in the middle of the day and after work which was nice. Came home, ate dinner, watched some TiVo, got on irc for a little while, ate dinner etc.
Conversations of interest:
Discussed concept of having every middle eastern male on a temp visa visit the INS being pretty much a bunch of crap to put it mildly. If you want to round up the usual suspects, call it what it is, if you don't want to call it what it is, make EVERYONE on a temp visa visit the INS. Like Doc Searls noted from someone, like a terrorist is going to voluntarily go to the INS if he/she is in violation of their visa. COME ON. GIVE ME A FLIPPING BREAK.
Second conversation was regarding how apparently all women are untrustworthy and "love" is not real.
Later realization: surrounded by athiests (maybe just an observation at a particular moment in time which doesn't lend credibility to the majority).
Also discovered that Xzibit the rapper used (some would say ripped up) Pavane Opus 50 in his track Paparazzi after hearing a rendition done by Joolz Gianni on the Classic Chillout Vol 1. Disc 2.
I really can't wait for the holidays to commence. I have to crack down on some homework but other than that, I'm at peace with things and I'm content.
