Phones... Phones...

Yes I love electronic gadgets. I used to play with legos and constructs when I was a kid so now I've moved up to digital cameras, cell phones, computers etc. I don't spend every dime I have on things, I just tend to research them to death and make sure I'm getting the *best*. Which leads me to...
I had the company Cingular sales rep bring me a new GSM phone (nifty new system that allows your phone to work in 170+ countries depending on the phone's capabilities). Yes I don't need this but the new phone looks nice, has neat blue lights, has an FM radio etc etc. I probably won't use 1/10th of the features but I love it. Unfortunately the model I love is rife with software problems and will need to be returned. In a couple of weeks they should have things fixed so for now I'll go back to my nice, big, and slow (didn't seem that way 2 years ago) Nokia 7160.
Since I don't have a cell phone, I'm ultra-paranoid someone is going to try to get ahold of me and can't but I guess that never stopped them before. And no, I don't think my phone is a tether, I don't use it that often, and I actually enjoy it when work calls and I get the opportunity to help out.
See out there despite all the ranting and raving people say about being tied to a cell phone, when in crisis-mode, people love to be important and help out. Oh well, it's nice to watch so many pretend that they hate their jobs (which I'm sure some do) and who hate wearing pagers and cell phones. Yes it can get quite irritating at times but luckily for me, it's not that way.
Nothing else really new except that my mother did not need the inkjet printer I got her for her birthday. Apparently her "complaining" was just "complaining" and the one she had really wasn't a "piece of shit". Combined with the fact that Gateway's Accessory store has this really neat 15 day return policy which I just happen to be 1 week past, well I've now got a useless Epson C62 that I'm willing to part with for $60 plus shipping or best offer.
I got Kris sick too. She's not having any fun.

*cough* geek *cough* :-)
I didn't know you had an LJ. :-) Added you to my friends list & now you get to read all those silly intimate posts I've made over the last few months. Be afraid. ;-)
Personally, I like my pager. It's my lifeline. I get to talk to Jack anytime I want and I don't have to use the phone. Yippee! :-)
