Work + Christmas preparations
Well I ended up going to a house-warming party with Kris and meeting a friend of hers who mentored her years ago. He was a very nice person and we sat and talked for awhile. Since we all enjoyed discussing technical things, he spent a lot of the time talking to us instead of the other guests.
Went to work to train some people. Ever get the feeling that nobody wants to listen and has their own agenda? Well that's what it was like. Many had their own opinion on what should and shouldn't be done and best practices. Sure we'll take their input but I just got the feeling that it didn't matter who had the best idea, just that we used theirs.
After that I went to meet up with Kris and her family who were dectorating a Christmas tree. The tree was huge (at least 10ft) and I took a bunch of pictures with the digital camera. It sucks though, everything was out of focus. I need to post a message on the dpreview boards and see if other people have had issues. Taking pictures of people was fine but the Christmas tree picture taking was crap. I think I'm going to use my n90s for at least half of the pictures when Christmas rolls around. I also need to finish up my shopping.
I have stained socks because of new shoes. I got a brown and black pair this weekend from my favorite shoemaker, Johnston and Murphy. The shoes last really really long so I love every pair I get from them.
