American Hypocrisy Part 1: Human Rights

Tragically, individuals from a supply convoy were captured. I mirrored the Al Jazeera video awhile back but didn't say much about the matter. In the many discussions I've gotten into about the war, people always tell how bad Saddam Husein is and how he needs to be removed from power. Brutal dictators do need to be dealt with but hypocrisy should be avoided. The Geneva Convention dictates certain standards and for us to flame Iraq and Al Jazeera for showing our captured soldiers on TV but ignore the pictures we showed of the Al Qaeda POWs in Afghanistan who have been held for over a year without any status declaration, representation, or contact with their families is purely unjust.
