Do nothing day

My day:
Kris went out of town for her last wedding shower up near Chicago where a lot of her family lives. I stayed at home all day, did some coding, watched some TV and Good Will Hunting. This has been one of my best days off ever but I think it's because I didn't really have anything I had to get done.

Good Will Hunting came out my senior year in highschool and was the first movie I went to go see with my last ex. The plot of the movie may just seem like an unrealistic fairy tale but I've always wanted to be someone like Will Hunting. Not necessarily the broken home or unable to open up and love type of person, but intelligent through non-traditional means. A lot of it has to do with the academic emphasis when I was raised. One of my cousins who I consider a mentor especially when I was growing up was very smart like Will was, maybe that has something to do with it.

Nowadays a lot of my frustration with where I'm at is that it seems that when I have spare time, I'm not motivated to go to new depths and do new things. So when I don't have time to do these things, it seems like I want it more. Maybe it's a time management issue but it's so hard to do when the gaps to do those things are small.

Dying for a cause vs. Stupid People(TM):
Today an American Peace Activist was run down by an Israeli bulldozer. When I commented on how sick it was, someone said she deserved it. Apparently they thought she was dumb for not moving out of the way. I saw it completely different. She didn't deserve it, she was fighting for a cause, and someone murdered her. People in the area said she had been sitting there for 3 hours but that's not a fact yet. If it was, it makes it even more sickening. Any human has the responsibility to make sure they don't injure or kill other people. There is no excuse.
