Tori Amos Live
Tonight I went to go see Tori Amos perform. The best parts were being able to spend an evening with Kris and then enjoying Tori's music. I'm not a Tori "superfan" or anything like that but I tend to buy most of her albums.
Most memorable moment of concert: When Tori performed Imagine by John Lennon. It couldn't have been a more fitting time and the crowd reacted strongly throughout the song. "Nothing to kill or die for" seemed to draw the most cheering, whistling, screaming, and clapping in the song.
As I sat there I just observed how we felt a little out of place with so many people dressed in grunge, lesbians, and assorted other stereotypes composed of people from all different walks of life but when it came to peace in the world, everyone was the same.
In another note, my previous entry about Rachel Corrie being crushed by an Israeli bulldozer has seemed to disappear from the major news outlets. I understand war is a big deal but a U.S. citizen being killed by Israel seems very important. However the fact that it has been mostly erased from the media combined with the responsibility of an investigation is going to lie with Israel tells even more. In an Reuters article, apparently hundreds of Palestinian's had a symbolic funeral for her.
