Seductive Electronic Gadgets Are Soon Forgotten
Over the past few years I've bought what seems to be a ton of gadgets. Buying reasoning ranges from "this would make life easier" to "I could do so much more" but the purchases rarely justify themselves. Even though I know this, I continue to buy nifty toys.
"Gadgets bought and barely used are the technology world's equivalent of exercise equipment. Often purchased in a well-intentioned bout of self-improvement, they are opened, used once or twice, then abandoned." I am realizing this is why my house is so cluttered. I've gone through so many pairs of headphones, computers, computer accessories, and other things that it seems ridiculous. When I see the latest Palm or Sony Clie out that I want, I remind myself that I've had two which I used for maybe a total of 2 months in the past 5 years.
I confess, I always want to believe and hope that a gadget will make life so much easier when in reality, it never does.
What useless gadgets have you bought lately?
