Mac OS 10.4 aka Tiger arrived early
Tiger arrived a day early. I've actually had the opportunity to play with it for awhile prior to today but for those wondering what the big deal is you can visit Apple's Tiger page to find out more.
In a nutshell:
* Spotlight - Search everything on your Mac fast (files, contacts, e-mail, movies, music, calendars and applications).
* Dashboard - Desktop widgets or mini-applications with 3rd party support (calculators, dictionary, translation, flight info, weather, etc.)
* Many backend updates (CoreImage, CoreAudio, Quicktime, etc)
